Hi guys, so today I am going to tell you some life hacks that you can use in the mornings when you go back to school. Mornings after the summer can be tough because you don’t want to get up that early in the morning and you completely changed your routine. I did a lot of research and I think that these life hacks will be the most helpful in getting back into your school morning routines. Make A Playlist
I recommend this one because I did this every day last year but in the summer holidays I made a 1-hour long playlist I play when I am getting ready and when it ends I made it so I know that I have 5 minutes before I have to leave for the day. This is helpful because not only does it set a time limit for the morning but playing your favourite songs in the morning will make you happier and feel more awake. Cold Or Hot Shower
Some people have cold showers in the morning and some people have hot showers and I have done a lot of research on the both and I have found out some amazing reasons to have cold showers and hot showers.
Cold showers – Stimulates the immune system, increases alertness, prevents colds, stimulates anti-depression hormones, accelerates metabolism, tightens skin, reduces hair loss.
Hot showers – Relaxes muscles, alleviate migraines, lowers body tension, reduces swelling, reduces anxiety, removes toxins from your skin, acts as a nasal decongestant.
Drinking warm lemon water very other morning when you wake up can be really good for you. Here are some reasons why:
Improves digestion, boosts immune system, hydrates you, boosts your energy, anti-cancer properties, rejuvenates skin, reduces inflammation, boosts vitamin c quotient and more.
The hardest part of back to school mornings is waking up in my opinion so here are some tips that I use to wake up.
- I have this awful habit of pressing the snooze button so I put my phone at the other side of my room and when the noise starts to truly irritate me I get up and turn it off and somehow it makes me feel a lot more awake.
- I set my alarm 20 minutes earlier tan the time that I am meant to wake up because after I turn off my alarm I know that I have 20 more minutes to just lie in my bed and do nothing before I actually have to get my day started and just to make sure that I don’t fall asleep again I set another alarm for 20 minutes after my first alarm. This one is a bit weird but it has worked for me for years.
- Opening your curtains will reduce your melatonin (sleepy chemical) by considerable levels because the sunlight just seems to get rid of it. If you do’t feel like letting loads of sunlight in just open the curtain slightly to let in a little bit of sunlight lie in it for a bit.
