Hi guys, so recently I have been not sleeping because I have fallen into my Christmas Holiday sleep pattern which is sleep at 2am and wake up at 2pm which is definitely not great because I go out the house feeling all tired and sloppy so today I have some life hacks to help you fall asleep so you feel awake the next day. I hope that you guys enjoy and without further ado let’s get started!
This one is genius and it is that if you set a bedtime routine that you do every single day before bed, as soon as you do it your brain will associate this with sleep and it will help you fall asleep a lot quicker. This could be a simple skincare routine, yoga, stretching, tidying your room, or reading a book but whatever it is just try and do it everyday. This might not work straight away but in the long run it really helps. Also a warm shower or bath would be a great routine to have before bed because the heat will help you fall asleep faster.
This one is a little weird but if you use lavender essential oils and have it in your room, it is scientifically proven to put you in a relaxed state and it slows your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure. Is smells really great but if you don’t like lavender you can have: Rose, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang, Bergamont, Chamomile, Frankincense etc. Also aromatherapy works great and they all smell amazing and all you have to do is sprinkle it on a towel or a few clothes and it will lightly fill up your whole room or if it is a really light essential oil, you can just put it on your wrist to calm you down.
This one is obvious but if you have a certain time that you go to bed and wake up then your brain will fall into that routine and it will make you feel tired at the time you have to go to bed. Normally, if I have a busy day the next day, I will go to sleep at 10 and wake up at 7 because it is just the times that I am used to but you guys may have a different schedule. This is really simple and effective.
